SUMMARY:Seminario 9
\nThe neurocognitive architecture of language: between concepts and categories\nDomenica Romagno \nAbstract \nIn this paper\, I explore the neurocognitive architecture of language by focusing on the relationship between conceptual-semantic representations and grammatical categories. I address the question of the linking mechanisms of a multifactorial and graded conceptual space with formally discrete language structures by investigating: 1) the neurocognitive basis for so-called “interface semantics”; \n2) the representation of word classes in the brain. Data from patient and brain imaging studies are discussed\, and a possible model is provided for the interpretation of critical aspects of the interplay between conceptual and linguistic \n
